Description

This bundle contains both Wuest's The New Testament: An Expanded Translation and his 3-volume work, Word Studies in the Greek New Testament. The latter is presented here as a single PocketBible commentary containing the full contents of the print volumes.

In keeping with the author's intent that his expanded translation be thought of as a commentary to use alongside one's chosen Bible, the PocketBible edition is organized as a commentary so that it can be used in just that way in the PocketBible app.

About the Author(s)

Kenneth Samuel Wuest (1893-1961) was an Evangelical Biblical Greek New Testament scholar. Born in Chicago, he earned a degree in History and Greek from Northwestern University in 1922 and graduated from Moody Bible Institute in 1924. He was awarded an honorary D.D. from Wheaton College in 1955.

After teaching at the Freewill Baptist Seminary in Ayden, North Carolina, and the Brookes Bible Institute in St. Louis, Missouri, Wuest joined the faculty of Moody Bible Institute in 1929 as professor of New Testament Greek.

Wuest published more than a dozen books on the New Testament. He was one of the translators of the original New American Standard Bible (NASB) and produced his own English translation of the New Testament, The New Testament: An Expanded Translation.
