We at Laridian believe that it is important for people to read and study the Bible. In order to help shape our future products and educational efforts, we are studying the challenges people face when reading the Bible.

One of the potential factors is reading speed and comprehension. In order to understand that better, we've designed this little test. You will be presented with an excerpt to read followed by a short multiple choice quiz. This is not a competition, nor will your score go on your "permanent record". You should read at a pace that is comfortable for you. If you do poorly on the quiz, try another passage — this time focusing on reading at a pace that allows you to better understand what you're reading.

Because these 4 excerpts are drawn from familiar stories, you may be tempted to skim. Try to treat the text as if you're seeing it for the first time and read it for understanding. Don't waste time trying to figure out where the excerpt is from or if you've read it before. Just read what it says and take the quiz.
