About the Author(s)

Arthur Walkington Pink (1886-1952) was born in Nottingham, England on April 1, 1886. Pink immigrated to the United States and studied at Moody Bible Institute. He served churches in Australia, England, and the United States. He started a magazine in 1922 entitled, Studies in Scriptures. This small, but international publication, touched the hearts of many people. After returning to England in 1934, his ministry focused on writing books and pamphlets until his death in Scotland on July 15, 1952. After his death, his works were republished. Pink’s biographer, Iain Murray, explained that "the widespread circulation of his writings after his death made him one of the most influential evangelical authors in the second half of the twentieth century." Pink was a tremendous expositor of the Scriptures.
